Detailed Unit Plan
The Primary Predicament Unit uses a 5E Lesson Plan Model from BSCS. You can find a one-pager describing the BSCS 5E Instructional Model.
Part 1 – Paint Predicament
Print Journal 1 double sided and flipped on the SHORT edge. It should then be folded taco style (as opposed to burrito style) and then stapled in the middle with two staples.
You can use the Decomposed Color Image of Wilbur and Wilma below to print in color onto transparency film or you can decompose your own image using the JavaLab site linked here. If using your own image to decompose for this unit, pick one that has a significant area of red, green, and blue in the image. If planning ahead, you could ask your students to wear red, green, or blue clothes to school one day and take a class photo.
