Rev Up Your Invention Engines!
STEMAZing Workshop
Saturday, April 20, 2024
8:00 am - 4:00 pm at
CATALYST Creative Collective (inside Tucson Mall)

Registration now open! Limited space available.

Electronics and coding meets cardboard with the NEW Invention Engine product from the makers of Edison robots. Invention Engine is a robust, hands-on platform for learning computer science. The system contains a programmable Invention Engine hub and a range of connectable Invention Engine bits (including LEDs, motors, and sensors) all of which can be easily attached to cardboard allowing coded creations to come to life. The modular system, coded using EdScratch, allows students to begin with the basics, learning by doing as they build up skills and create exciting inventions from arcade games to cookie jar alarms, nocturnal or diurnal creatures, and so much more. Join us for a creative collective style workshop to explore each of the Invention Engine programmable bits with our facilitators STEMAZing Robot General Michael Griffith and STEM elementary/middle school teachers Jenifer Henson and Linda Slade. Get ready to leave excited about all the incredible opportunities your students will have as they learn to design and code their own cardboard inventions!
