Adaptations: You’ll have ‘allele’ good time!
In the newly adopted 2018 Arizona Science Standards, there are 12 standards related to adaptation and heredity before high school. Many students hold persistent misconceptions about adaptation and inheritance. This workshop deepens your understanding of this important content and helps educators lead hands-on activities to help 3rd-8th-grade students understand the role of time, natural selection, and randomness in how plants and animals change in response to their environment. Educators leave better acquainted with the new standards and well prepared to teach these concepts. Let’s have ‘allele’ good time!
