4 in a Row

Connect Four – Hack it! Make “4 in a Row”!

Challenge a friend to disc-dropping fun on the go with Connect Four. Drop your colored pieces in the grid and be the first to get 4 in a row to win. If your opponent is getting too close to 4 in a row, block them with your own checker. Switch it up to a collaborative game by purposely trying to end in a tie – Cat’s game – with all the pieces in play.

We use bingo chips as markers but you can use any pieces that come in two different colors or marks (thinks X’s and O’s). Challenge students to make pieces out of reused bits and pieces from the recycle and trash bins! You don’t even need the vertical drop in game, just print out the gameboard and drop pieces down the columns to play. Buy Royal Bingo Chips here.
